Welcome to the Azores!

The scenario chosen for the Golden Trail National Series Grand Final are the islands of the Azorean Triangle – Faial, Pico and São Jorge islands, where, in 2020, the best in the world competed in the Golden Trail Championship, challenges, demanding climbs and dizzying descents among mud, wind and rain.

During all the year, the athletes will have fought on the  qualifying races of the different GTNS in SPAIN/PORTUGAL, FRANCE/BELGIUM, ITALY, CZE/SK/POL, UK, USA-CANADA, GERMANY/AUSTRIA/SWITZERLAND, NORDICS, MEXICO  to participate to this GTNS Grand Final where they could get their ticket for the Golden Trail Championship 2022 in case of a top 3.

INVITATION TO THE RACE FROM THE GTS

Runners need to take part in one of the GTNS and reach the top 3 (except for  MEXICO TOP 2/ NORDICS TOP 1) of one of the GTNS to be invited to the GTNS Grand Final. 

If the runner didn’t reach the top 3, but finished one of the GTNS races, (participating in the minimum races required in their specific GTNS) he/she may go to the Grand Final at his/her own expense, within the limit of race bibs available, and try to reach the top 3 finishers to receive his/her ticket for the GTC 2022.
