The top 10 men and women from the Golden Trail World Series 2021 overall ranking:
- are invited to participate in two 2022 international trips: one in Europe (Stranda/Zinal), and one in the USA (Manitou Spring/Flagstaff). Under the condition they pre-register to a minimum of 3 races in the GTWS 2022. These 2 trips are designed to limit the ecological impact of multiple transcontinental trips. This enables Europeans to participate in 2 competitions in the USA in one single trip; by doing 2 races in 2 weeks, and vice-versa for Americans who want to race in Europe. Also, the athletes and staff’s travel carbon footprint will be offset by the GTS.
- will receive free race bibs to all the GTWS 2022 races.
Additionally, if they pre-register to a minimum of 3 GTWS 2022 races, the GTS will cover the athletes’ following invitations: FOR ALL THE RACES (If the athlete is not part of the top 10 GTWS 2021 overall ranking):
– An athlete who finishes in the top 10 in a GTWS race, or who’s in the Top 10 overall ranking, is invited to another race in the Series. – An athlete who finishes in the top 20 in a GTWS race receives a free race bib for another race in the Series. An online questionnaire will be open from the beginning of January until 1st February 2022.
You will be able to submit your race choices, and we will get back to you in February 2022 with the level of your support.
From 2023, athletes’ support will only be provided to Golden Trail Series defined International Elite runners (i.e.: the Top 30 of the final 2022 overall ranking)
